Raees director on Pak cricketers india visit

Rahul Dholakia, director of the Bollywood film "Raees," suggested collaboration between Indian and Pakistani artistes as Pakistani cricketers arrived in India for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Dholakia directed "Raees," which marked the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actor Mahira Khan in 2017.

Due to tensions following the Uri terror attack in 2016, Pakistani artistes, including Mahira Khan, were banned from working in Bollywood.

Mahira Khan was unable to promote "Raees" in India because of the ban on Pakistani artistes.

In 2017, Mahira Khan expressed gratitude to the film's team for their support and emphasized the importance of the film's success at the box office.

Rahul Dholakia, in response to Mahira Khan's interview, shared her clip on social media, expressing regret for how she was treated and emphasizing that she is an artist

The ban on Pakistani artistes in Bollywood was reinforced after the Pulwama terror attack in 2019.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) called for a total ban on Pakistani artists, musicians, and diplomats in response to Pakistan's ban on Indian films.
