He will also serve as the chairman of the L&T Employee Trust, which is the largest single shareholder of the company.
Naik considers L&T to be his temple and has a deep emotional connection to the company.
His successor, SN Subrahmanyan (SNS), is highly regarded as a leader, and Naik believes that L&T will perform well under his leadership.
Naik's philanthropic efforts include building hospitals in India, with his son actively involved in managing one of them.
