NASA (The National Aeronautics and Space Administration) successfully completed a historic mission on Sunday by dropping samples from asteroid Bennu onto Earth.
The mission aimed to retrieve pristine samples from the asteroid, which can provide valuable insights into the early solar system's composition and the origins of life.
Bennu, the target asteroid, is a near-Earth asteroid that scientists believe could contain clues about the building blocks of life and the solar system's formation.
The samples collected from Bennu could help scientists better understand the processes that led to the formation of planets and life on Earth.
To retrieve the samples, OSIRIS-REx used a robotic arm to touch the surface of Bennu briefly, collecting material that was then safely stored for return to Earth.
